The Creative Independent

The Creative Independent (TCI) is a growing resource of emotional and practical guidance for creative people, published by Kickstarter. For this project, TCI asked to come up with a combination of banner and spot illustrations for their how-to guide for doing taxes as an independent contractor. The article is quite lengthy and full of a LOT of legal jargon, so I tried to keep the illustrations fun and abstract to provide a little ocular relief without steering totally off course from the written content. The spot illustrations fit together like a puzzle to complete the banner illustration, which is how we hope our taxes magically come together, right?! View this project in the wild here.
